About ThinkingAudit

Why ThinkingAudit?

Having been an internal auditor for most of my working life, I noticed that some internal auditor teams become trapped on an "audit conveyor belt".

I observed teams that relied heavily on lists of expected controls and lacked confidence to apply risk-based auditing. Others focused on audit process and audit management software at the expense of risk analysis and critical thinking, risking missing the bigger picture.

Adding insight through internal audit requires time for analysis, research, and discussion. ThinkingAudit helps teams develop audit approaches that are practical, efficient, and allow time for analysis.

We also support audit committees and boards.
